Welcome to a retreat that is exactly that – an actual retreat. Winning awards for the Best Retreat in Europe from numerous agencies and travel companies, Suryalila Retreat Centre is a dream! Located in southern Spain in the heart of the Andalucia hills, this escape is designed to bring you back to what matters. Suryalila Retreat Centre, originally an olive hacienda, is located close to the charming villages of Arcos de la Frontera and Prado del Rey. It’s approximately 45 minutes from the historic and beautiful walled city of Cadiz and an hour’s drive from Sevilla, the vibrant heart of Andalucía. ​

YOGA & WORKSHOPS

This week is designed to bring you back home to the one that’s always with you. Home to your body, mind and spirit. Nadia will be leading you through a variety of yoga styles including Vinyasa, Yin, Yoga Nidra and Restorative, designed to ground and release. In addition to this daily schedule, Nadia will be teaching two specialty interactive workshops over the 7 days that challenge your creativity and mind.

What’s included?

• 7 nights accommodation in your room of choice
• Vegetarian Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner daily in buffet (vegan, gluten-free options are provided in case needed)
• A visit to the Hammam in Jerez includes about 90 mins in the baths followed by lunch in Jerez and time to walk around the town. The whole excursion is 5 hours and includes your transfers there and back. Lunch is not included for the day however we will be visiting a lovely restaurant for a Spanish meal after your spa treatment. Transfers included.
• Eco Sauna Experience enjoying the beautiful wood-fired Temazcal eco-sauna on property.
• Permaculture Tour which provides an introduction to Danyadara, Suryalila’s permaculture and land regeneration project, and an explanation of everything they are doing on the land and why it is important. You will visit our donkeys, alpacas and goats and get to view some very interesting eco-buildings that they’ve created on their adjoining staff property. Danyadara is an integral part of Suryalila and very dear to their hearts.
• El Bosque and Benamahoma Hike – these are two picturesque villages tucked away amongst the mountains of the Sierra de Grazalema National Park. They are part of what is known as ‘Pueblos Blancos’ – a unique tourist name in Andalusia consisting of a group of towns in the provinces of Cadiz and Malaga characterised by their whitewashed facades and steep streets. Our favourite thing to do here is walk from one town to the other along the banks of the majestic Majaceite river. Transfers included.

Ananda Laxmi Suite – SOLD OUT

Ananda Laxmi Double Suite is the most spacious room in Suryalila with its own ensuite bathroom, living area and fireplace. The room is furnished with beautiful handpicked pieces from Bali and Morocco.

Amenities include ensuite bathroom, living room, tea station and fridge, fireplace, gas central heating and air-conditioning.

This room is named after Laxmi, the Hindu goddess of wealth, fortune and prosperity.

Ananda Shanti Deluxe

Treat yourself to a beautiful private room with ensuite bathroom in Casa Ananda or the Govinda House.

These rooms are part of the original cortijo farm house, either as stand alone rooms, or in the shared Govinda house with a cosy communal seating area.

They seamlessly blend traditional Spanish features such as beamed ceilings and traditional Andalusian tiled floors, with unique textiles, furnishings and artworks from Bali, India and Morocco.

The private double rooms with ensuite bathrooms feature hand-carved wooden bedside tables and wardrobes and embroidered bedspreads and cushions adorning the queen size bed.

The ensuite bathroom has a tiled shower, WC and plenty of storage for your belongings.

4 Room Available – one with a Queen bed, 3 with one double in each.

Kali Deluxe

These beautiful rooms are situated in the unique three-bed house – Kali.

The house features incredible communal facilities including a fully fitted kitchen and spacious open plan living space with comfy sofas and large dining table. Patio doors lead onto a sun-drenched terrace with bistro table and sun loungers overlooking olive trees and the stunning Andalusian countryside.

The double rooms with private bathrooms (available above) are situated downstairs while two further rooms, with use of a shared bathroom, are located upstairs.

The rooms are individually decorated with hand picked pieces from Bali, Morocco and India. Embellished bedspreads adorn the bed, vibrant paintings are hung on the walls and hand-carved furniture is mindfully placed in the room to store your belongings.

In regards to the bathroom, please note that it is not ensuite. It’s situated just outside of the room for your own private use. Bathrooms feature a tiled shower, WC and plenty of storage space.

Ananda/Kali Twin – SOLD OUT

From the outside, the white and blue facade looks like a traditional Spanish farmhouse, but the moment you step inside, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to exotic climes. Walls are painted in rich colours such as orange and blue while the intricate hand-carved wooden furniture looks like it could have come from a place or riad in India or Morocco.

These rooms share amazing communal facilities such as a kitchen, open plan living space, sun terrace or mezzanine seating area with beautiful views over the countryside depending on which room you choose, and availability.

Each room features either a double bed or separate twin beds adorned with beautiful bedding and cushions. Colourful paintings, lamps and artistic pieces are mindfully placed in the room to add the final touches.

The spacious shared bathroom, situated next to the bedroom, has a tiled shower, WC and shelf space for your personal belongings.

3 Rooms Available, all of which have 2 twins in each room.

Ananda/Kali Superior

These rooms are situated in our renovated ‘cortijo’ building located in and around our orange tree courtyard in houses called Padma, Tara, Kali and Ananda.

Glamping Options

Mini Dome

Stay in one of Suryalila’s brand new mini-domes. Located in their glamping area, we have the twin mini dome available hat is full of natural light with views into the garden.

The glamping area overlooks the ancient olive grove set in the heart of the gardens surrounding the Om Dome.

How to Get There/Flights & Transfers Info

You can fly into one of these three airports. We recommend that you fly into Seville.

• Seville
• Jerez de la Frontera
• Malaga

There are transfers from any of these airports to Suryalila. This is charged per car, and our transfer partner SierraVivaViajes will try to match you with other arriving guests to spread out the cost. Here’s what the transfers cost per car:

• Seville: €100
• Jerez: €80
• Malaga: €160

We can help arrange this for you. Alternatively, there are several car rental companies available locally. Seville is roughly 75 minutes away by car, Jerez is 50 minutes and Malaga is 2 hours. You could also take the bus to Villamartín, a town 15 minutes away from Suryalila. You need to arrange a taxi to pick you up, which costs €20 per car.

Arrival/ Departure A reminder that rooms are ready by 3 pm on arrival day and check out is at 11 am on departure day. Lunch on arrival day will not be charged but any guests staying at the centre for lunch on departure day will need to pay an extra 15€ and this will be added to their shop bill.

Dietary Requests Suryalila caters to vegans, non-dairy and non-gluten. Dishes are cooked in a kitchen where these ingredients are used and as such we cannot guarantee that no cross contamination will occur. As the kitchen is buffet style, we are unable to cater for specific or limited diet plans. For other allergies and intolerances, please inform us prior to booking and we will check with the kitchen if we can cater for you. Please note, for certain dietary requirements there is an additional supplement.
